I love love love Top Chef so I was inspired to cook last night. It almost came out as good as my mom’s!! I was so proud of myself I almost cried! I even cooked again this morning. Luckily, I haven’t burned anything yet!!
This is excellent work! Don’t hesitate to show your wisdom in class!
Someone (that went to all those Ivy League schools and taught at Princeton) called me wise! As you can tell, this basically made my life. Hopefully I won’t disappoint her toward the end of the semester. I’m already slacking off. I wish I hadn’t picked an advisor already! I really like this lady!! I wonder what the other one will feel like if I trade him for her….
Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head, originally uploaded by No Que Pasa.
I’d be able to afford seeing Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head supporting Lily Allen. Unfortunately, I’m poor and forty-two dollars is a lot of money for a concert. Besides, I don’t even like Lily Allen … sorry to all those Lily Allen fans out there.
I wished for some rainboots and the rain stopped. It’s almost like yesterday never happened.
September in San Diego feels like the desert. It gets ridiculously hot and you can’t step outside without at least sweating a little. This is not good if you’re allergic to your sweat. Yes I am allergic to my own sweat, but it’s genetic. I swear my sister is too … see it runs in the family. Well, if you’ve been anywhere in Southern California these past few days, you might have noticed the rain literally pouring down at times. It’s ridiculous. It’s from one extreme to another. This morning it was raining so much that my roommate and I left and hour early to catch the bus because walking would probably mean catching pneumonia or some other dreadful illness. When I left my last class an hour ago, I almost got blown away by the wind. I’m not even skinny … it was seriously that bad. Now I’m sitting in the comfort of my own room (not reading the book I have to finish by tomorrow) looking at the trees swaying back and forth and I think it started raining again. Oh so in class I made a couple of observations: people at school, all of whom are always well dressed and quite stylish, revert to sweats and UGGS in this weather. Second observation, UGGS end up looking really ugly after they get wet, as in a wet brown/green/ whatever color they come in sponge ugly. Bad idea girls. As for me I wore my comfy jeans that are torn from angle possible, a sweatshirt, and my version of the rainboots: Forever 21 faux-leather hightops. I plan on investing in rainboots but as soon as I get them the rain will probably stop and not come back for like six months. As for now I’m just hoping the palm trees don’t fall on me as I walk by.

I’ll be back Friday… if I survive. I plan on reading 1 and a half books by then. I promise to come back with a verdict between two different ways of making grilled cheese. If I post something in the next two days I obviously failed at this media fast thing. Hopefully I don’t miss too many things. It’s like being in Mexico all over again, except I don’t have my sister or my iPod to entertain me. I should probably hide it before I forget and start listening to it tomorrow. Maybe one (or a few) last goodbye song for the night. I’ll have to sing to myself after that.
This is going to be a long 48 hours….
So my Current Obsession (yes they still are) are touring with Lily Allen in April. By the way this is Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head if you don’t know who I’m referring to. I’m not really a Lily Allen fan, but I might consider making the trek up to LA because of course the San Diego show is 21+.

For my Media Studies class, I need to go on a Media Fast for fourty-eight hours. No internet, no music, no television, no magazines, no nothing. For two whole days! I think I’m going to go crazy. I’m planning to do it Wednesday and Thursday and I have a feeling it’s going to be a long day of avoiding all those things. Wish me luck!

I’m getting sick despite all the precautions I’ve taken to prevent it. I can’t even yawn because it make me feel nauseous. I’ve been drinking so much water my pee is clear. I never drink that much water, even though I know I should. That was probably too much information, but it’s the truth.
Last night I played Taboo and Dirty Minds at the beach and at my friend’s house. I’m only good at guessing at Taboo and nothing else. I probably shouldn’t have gone to the beach on account of my budding illness, but my mind doesn’t work a lot of time.
