I previously posted my sadness at not being able to see Little Boots when she plays in LA in February. I wish I lived in Brooklyn because I would actually be able to get into the venue.
Here are the dates she will be performing:
February 3rd – Los Angeles – Cinespace (21+)
February 4th – Los Angeles – Club NME @ Spaceland (21+) Buy Tickets
February 6th – Brooklyn – Fixed @ Studio B (19+) Buy Tickets
I, like many others, have astigmatism. According to Wikipedia, it is
An optical system with astigmatism is one where rays that propagate in two perpendicular planes have different foci. If an optical system with astigmatism is used to form an image of a cross, the vertical and horizontal lines will be in sharp focus at two different distances. The term comes from the Greek α- (a-) meaning “without” and στίγμα (stigma), “a mark, spot, puncture”.[1]
To me, it just means everything is a blur when I don’t have my glasses or my contacts on. I seriously can’t see anything unless it’s right infront of my face. I blame peer pressure in second grade to be like my friends and have glasses like they all did.
In December, I was on my last pair of contacts when I lost one in the shower. In a few days I was going to see CSS, which meant I could go and only see the concert with one eye or wear my dorky glasses and see everything. I wore the dorky glasses and it was seriously one of the best concerts ever. I do tend to say that alot though.
Now I’m counting my blessings. The other day when I was trying to clean said glasses they broke. The lens just popped out because the frame broke. It was pretty sad as I’d gotten used to wearing them all day, everyday since I came back home. If this had happened three weeks earlier I would have had to squint my way through a concert and finals. Good timing glasses, good timing. I think my pay for college fund will have to go to my new glasses because my mother doesn’t show any interest in buying me a new pair.

I’m obsessed with Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head. They’re so catchy … I really can’t stop listening to them since I saw them live with CSS in December. My absolute favorite song is Holding Hands in the Shower. So so good. Hopefully they have shows in LA or San Diego soon.

I used to post pictures on here that I found, but I haven’t in a while so I decided to post this one. It’s Jimmy from Foals, but it reminded me of a picture of a sea otter I saw like 2 years ago. I only know this because I had to do a project about them for one of my classes in high school. If you ask me I probably couldn’t tell you anything about them except that they have really thick fur which keeps them warm (I think).
To compare Jimmy to a picture of a sea otter click HERE because I can’t figure how to put two pictures on.
To make up for this random post, FOALS posted links to loops they’ve done in preperation for their new album and there’s even a link to another mix of their b-side Glaciers. Click HERE for musical treats.
In conclusion, FOALS and sea otters are great.

Yesterday I took my sister to the doctor because she goes back to school on Monday. On our way back I saw this crazy South American lady on the bus how Jesus was coming. She kept telling my sister how pretty she is but we were trying not to pay attention to her. She kept talking about Jesus and then to top it all she started speaking in tongues. It was crazy.
I thought it was all over, but when we got off, there was a driving school car in the street with a picture of Jesus on the side with the words “Jesus Christ Driving School”.
I don’t know what to make of it anymore since after my World Religions course (taught by a Catholic priest) and countless History Channel shows telling me how alot of the stuff I learned my entire life in Catholic School were probably made up.
P.S. Happy New Year!
